Longtime Greenville Air Personality To Leave Magic 98.9

Lee Alexander, midday air personality on Magic 98.9 (WSPA-FM) in Greenville, SC, announced on his personal Facebook page yesterday that tomorrow will be his last day with the station. I don't know how long ago Lee began on the air in Greenville, but it's certainly been decades.

I had the privilege of working with Lee when I was the Director of Sales for Entercom Greenville from 2002-2004. Lee is a pro and is one of the nicest people I've ever worked with.

“It is with mixed emotions that I inform you that this Friday, Nov. 2nd will be my last day hosting the midday duties on Magic 98.9. I would like to devote more time to some new projects in my future. Thank you so very much for your loyalty over the years during my radio career. I will truly miss you and trust you and your family will have a wonderful and memorable upcoming holiday season.....Lee....

According to Lee’sFacebook Fan page, he got his start in Florence, South Carolina at WOLS and in Greenville, also worked at WQOK (now WGVL) and WFBC.

Best wishes Lee. Sorry to see you go.
